Expired – Volunteering Opportunity in Kielce, Poland During 5 Months
URGENT : Searching for a candidate for Volunteering in a European Voluntary Service (EVS) project in Kielce, Poland
Core activities will take place in a primary school with disabled children. Some activities will also be performed in the office of the Regional Volunteering Center.
Duration : 5 months

Some of the tasks of the volunteer :
- Preparing and delivering workshops for children in school – in accordance with the capacity and skills of volunteers and the needs of the school
- Supporting organization of various school events (eg Independence Day, Christmas, Grandmother’s Day etc.)
- Supporting language classes (introducing games and different activities within formal setting)
- Preparing afterschool classes. Promoting volunteering (local and European) in schools
- In the case of integrating facilities – supporting disabled children in dressing up, washing hands, eating meals, etc.
- Taking care of the visibility of the project (taking and posting pictures on Facebook, running a blog, preparing a calendar, creating a movie etc.)
- Participating in international events to create a space for interaction between foreigners in Kielce (students, EVS volunteers, interns) with locals
- Participating in a Polish language course, monthly meetings with teachers, volunteers and coordinators, preparing new content for workshops (we will, of course, help you with that)
- Providing workshops in the frame of “Youth Station”
- Participating in On-Arrival and Mid-Term training organized by the Polish National Agency
- Occasionally helping in the office
Candidate Criteria :
- The candidates should be between 18 and 30 years old
- He / she should be from a European Union or a neighboring country
- He / she should be enthusiastic, open-minded, and willing to gain experience in working with children and youth
Volunteers are provided with :
- Means of transport to Kielce, Poland;
- Every volunteer will have his own room in shared accommodation with other EVS volunteers;
- Sheets and equipped kitchen;
- Pocket money (120 euros each month);
- Money for food (100 euros each month and the possibility to cook in the flat);
- Local transport: The volunteer will be provided with a monthly pass for public transport;
- International certificate for participation in Erasmus + program;
By that project, volunteers can spread their passions among young people in the region, as well as develop their language and facilitation skills, they will learn how to promote and organize an event and how to work in a varied and multicultural environment (we’re hosting 16 volunteers from 7 different countries).
