Health care students from Hungary participate in a professional mobility practice in Varna
Association FOR YOU welcomed in mid-March a new Erasmus+ group for short-term student professional mobility under the project 2021-1-HU01-KA122-VET-000016947.
Fifteen students and their teachers from the Vocational High School “Zsuzsanna Kossuth” in Eger, Hungary had their practice for the project at the Hospice “Saint Marina” in the village of Kitchevo. It is located near Varna, the sea capital of Bulgaria. The Hungarian students are enrolled in vocational training for the profession “Caregiver and Nurse”.
The main task during the short-term student vocational mobility was care for the elderly, including nutrition, rehabilitation, blood pressure measurement, dressing, assistance in daily living.
The students’ practice was conducted in English. The young people worked on acquiring and improving not only narrow professional skills but also soft skills in a multicultural environment.
FOR YOU prepared and implemented a varied leisure program for the future health workers from Hungary, including visiting museums and historical sites in Varna, socializing with peers. This part of the visit allowed them to experience the history and traditions of Bulgaria, but also the modernity and everyday life of young people.
The project will continue from 27th of May until the 3rd of June this year, during which FOR YOU Association will host 15 teachers from the same vocational school. The purpose of their visit is to learn about the best practices and methods in the field of healthcare in our country.
