Youthpass Ceremony – Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “The Rule of Youth in Data Protection and Privacy Rights in Digital Transformation”

On the final day of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “The Rule of Youth in Data Protection and Privacy Rights in Digital Transformation,” all participants receive their Youthpass certificates. The event takes place in Varna, Bulgaria, from April 28 to May 4, 2025. The project is organized by Association FOR YOU (Bulgaria), together with partners from France, Croatia, and Serbia.
Youthpass is a European certificate that helps young people recognize what they have learned during projects like this one. It encourages reflection and helps make learning more visible — both for the participants and for others, such as employers or educators.
The exchange includes 30 young people from Bulgaria, France, Croatia, and Serbia. Over the week, they worked together on important topics such as online safety, personal data protection, digital rights, and responsible internet use. Besides learning new things, they also develop key soft skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Through fun and practical group activities, participants gained confidence, improved their digital skills, and created a multilingual educational guide called Online Safety Measures and Practices. This guide offers useful tips to help other young people stay safe online. It is created by the group throughout the exchange.
Living and working in an international environment also helps participants appreciate different cultures and languages. By reflecting on their experience, they realize how much they have grown personally and professionally. The project supports the development of eight key competences promoted by the EU, including multilingual competence, personal, social and learning to learn competence, citizenship competence, entrepreneurship competence, cultural awareness and expression competence, digital competence, mathematical competence and competence in science, technology and engineering, and literacy competence.
This Youth Exchange leaves a strong impact on everyone involved and shows the power of learning through experience and cooperation.
