Learning Together in Europe: My Experience at the Future Leader Training in the Czech Republic

Last week, I had the chance to be part of something truly unforgettable — the Erasmus+ Future Leader Training in the Czech Republic. Representing Association FOR YOU, I joined young people from all across Europe for a week filled with powerful moments, deep conversations, and life-changing experiences.

From the very beginning, I felt both excited and nervous. It was my first Erasmus+ project, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But very quickly, all those feelings turned into connection. Every day was a step toward growth — as a person, as a communicator, and as a future leader.

We explored topics like inclusion, leadership, and identity. These weren’t just “sessions” — they were open spaces where we could be vulnerable, heard, and inspired. One of the most emotional moments for me was walking through the forest of Vrchlabí. It felt like going back to my childhood, remembering where I came from and reflecting on the things that have shaped me. We talked about healing, about what makes a good leader, and I learned that true leadership starts from within.

Even speaking in English, which used to make me nervous, became something empowering. What once felt like a limitation turned into a bridge — a way to connect, express myself, and really be part of something bigger.

What touched me most was the energy of the group — the kindness, the honesty, the encouragement. Even the smallest things — a supportive smile, a quiet conversation — had such a big impact. And somewhere along the way, I realized: I’ve changed. Not in a loud or dramatic way, but in a quiet, steady way that I’ll carry with me.

I came back home with more than new knowledge. I came back with new friends, new confidence, and a new mindset. This project reminded me of who I am, what I’m capable of, and how powerful it is to grow together with others who believe in positive change.

Thank you to Erasmus+, to Association FOR YOU, and to everyone who shared this journey with me. I’ll always remember it — not just as a project, but as a turning point in my personal story.
