Volunteers from France join our EVS project

On one hand  we have Margot Varlez

She is from the city of the eiffel tower and the seine river, Paris, she is 25 five years old and she has a bachelor in Literature, and a Master degree in Journalism and Communication.

She has been here almost for two months like a volunteer, and she will stay until the end of august.

Before coming to Varna with an European voluntary service project she was 18 months in Chennai (south India) studying the first year of her master in journalism, after that, she found an internship in Alliance francaise of Madras, in there she was organizing and promoting events.

She discovered this EVS project by the alliance francaise foundation, she was looking for an internship in a cultural job, and this job was perfect for her. She saw the possibility of working in east europe, and discover this part of the world, she applied and luckily she is here.

Here in the alliance francaise she is helping the team for the organization and the promotion of cultural events. And from time to time, she is working with students who are learning French, through different projects such as a theater festival, or french-bulgarian workshops.

This project really suits her because thanks to this project, she can work abroad and in a cultural center, doing exactly what she wants to do. This is the job I expected. Furthermore this is an amazing opportunity to discover a new country, a new culture and to meet new people from all around Europe. She said

On the other hand we have Yorick

He is from the city which seaport is the most important on in the mediterranean sea, Marseille. He is 23 years old and he has Master's degree in International Cultural Affairs and Sponsorship.

He is in Varna as a volunteer from the 1st of October and he would be here till the end of august.

Before coming to Varna with an European voluntary service project he has lived in other countries so he has quite experience in living abroad, although he never worked as a volunteer before.

He chose this city because Bulgaria is a cultural crossroads and Varna has this proximity with the Black Sea, so this was perfect for him due to his studies.

Here he is a volunteer for the Centre Francophone of Varna, with Margot, our other volunteer. Like Margot he is helping the team for the organization and the promotion of cultural events. And from time to time, he is working with students who are learning French, through different projects such as a theater festival, or french-bulgarian workshops.

About Varna, and Bulgaria he thinks that the city is amazing, the nightlife is ok, the food is more than ok and he likes his job.
