Taste & Share Christmas edition

Yesterday (19.12.2017) we had our third event “Taste & Share“ at the “Place For You“ and again it gathered a lot of people, which were interested to know more about other cultures and to taste different food. ☺ This time we had the possibility to know more about 2 big cities in France (Paris and Marseille) and about Russia.
The event started with a presentation of Caroline, who shared nice tips about her lovely city – Paris. She told us about the nice parks such as Le bois de Vincennes and Montsouris, also about some hidden places, where you can escape from the crowds of people. Beside, she presented us some nice places to have coffee and relax in Paris. So thank you, Caroline, when we go to Paris next time, we will visit this recommended places!

The second presentation was from Imene about her dream home city by the sea – Marseille. She started with a short video about this beautiful city, after that she mentioned some nice places to visit, as monument Aux Morts Des Orients, Notre-Dame de la Garde cathedral and others. Of course, she explained how do locals like to go to watch football match in a big stadium in Marseille and about delicious food and the must-taste dishes.

The last presentation was from Luiza – a Russian volunteer, who was born in Kazan, but now lives in Moscow. She mentioned a lot of interesting facts about Russia, and the cities, where she lived. It was interesting to know that Kazan Kremlin is a very beautiful place, some stories about Russian writers, astronauts and ballet artists. Also she prepared a small quiz for us at the end of the presentation and everyone had the possibility to win a tasty prize for the answer ☺

As usual , after the presentations we had the possibility to relax and to chat in a cosy environment and to taste delicious dishes from France and Russia. This time the ladies prepared a lot of sweets: cookies and cakes. Also Association For You provided some salty snacks, and, of course, a fresh banica. So, our pre-Christmas “Taste & Share“ party was quite nice and we hope that it brought a festive mood to the participants’ heart. See you next year at our next events, we wish you happy holidays! ☺
