Welcoming our new short-term EVS

My name is Matteo I am 29 years old and I come from Italy. I come from a small village in the east coast of Sardinia, but before coming to Varna I was leaving in Cagliari that is the biggest city of Sardinia. At the University I studied law. When I was at the University I was a member of a University Association and it is in this context that I discovered the existence of the European Voluntary Service.

Why have I chosen Bulgaria and in particular VarnaI was looking for a project that could give me the opportunity to stay in contact with students, but also that could give me the chance to work in a office or in general to do paperwork. So when I saw the project of the Association FOR YOU I immediately understood that this was exactly what I was looking for. After that I checked some information about Bulgaria and Varna (because I didn’t have any idea of them), but when I realized that Varna was a lovely city in front of the sea I was sure that this city was perfect for me. Now I am in Varna to work in the Erasmus office of the Varna University of Economy, but also to collaborate with the Association For You. I think that this is a great possibility for me to improve my skills in different subjects and a good way of learning many things. I am sure that in this project I can learn a lot of important information and improve my competence for a future job. It is also a good way of enlarging my interests in other subjects. The environment in Varna and in general with the other volunteers here is amazing. We are a lot of volunteers and we help each other to make different projects. This is just my first week in Varna as EVS but I am sure that this experience will be very important and will satisfy me in every aspect.
