Projects and Programs

Young and informed

Thе project „Young and informed” is an exchange between organizations in Romania and Bulgaria. It includes one volunteer from Bucharest, Romania  who will spend 8 months in Varna, Bulgaria.  She will be involved in activities for promoting possibilities for mobility abroad and support for youngsters to participate in them that Association FOR YOU and the University of econimics of Varna organize for the local youth. This is also  the main theme of the project – Youth Information. The volunteer will assist the host organization and the international office of UE- Varna in organizing presentations, info-days, seminars and informal trainings, in consulting youngsters who want to study or do a voluntary service abroad as well as take part in their media coverage. The volunteer will be encouraged to realize her own ideas and projects depending on her interests. The main methods of work are acquiring skills through team work, peer education, participation in various informal trainings and learning by doing. Main objectives are fighting with youth unemployment, development of solidarity between young people from different social groups, fostering active participation of young people and their creativity and entrepreneurship. Additionally the project will promote the understanding between youth from different countries, will introduce the youngsters to different cultures and will promote the volunteerism and the active participation of young people.
