Agent 00Was7e – Final Steps and New Proposals for a Sustainable Future

We at Association FOR YOU are partners in the Erasmus+ project Agent 00Was7e – Licence to Recycle, and we are proud to share the results of this initiative. After the major event in Bitonto, together with our colleagues from Germany we organized public events, meetings with policymakers, and created clear materials and useful tools that will remain as a legacy for local and European communities.
Distributed Materials
During all events, our partners from Italy provided the community with a clear and practical document:
➡️ “Mission: Recycling is Life” (EN) – a mini-guide for the community of Bitonto.
The texts were written by young participants and present in a simple and accessible way the main ideas of the project: the waste hierarchy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recover), the problem of littering, the benefits of recycling, and the role of active citizens.
Our Contribution – Bulgaria, Varna
In Varna, we organized meetings with local policymakers, at which we presented official recommendations on the topic of waste management.
After that, we held the event Recycle Easter, turning awareness-raising into a real celebration. We involved associations, artists, and more than 200 citizens of all ages in creative workshops and concrete recycling activities.

Our initiative received wide media coverage, and thanks to its success, it will likely be repeated in the coming years. Our public presentation is also available online.
Germany – Jugendvision
Our German partners from Jugendvision held their final event on 9 August 2025 in Stuttgart. It brought together about 50 participants, including 36 young people, community representatives, and local politicians.

The event had three main parts:
-
Meeting with Stuttgart Municipality – the delegation spoke with institutional representatives about environmental policies and youth engagement. The meeting was also covered in the media.
-
Public youth workshop – interactive sessions for analyzing local problems and developing action plans for waste reduction, circular economy, and community recycling practices.
-
Dissemination and tools – the creation of a digital guide in PPT format for sustainable lifestyles, accompanied by social media campaigns and online publications.

A key moment was the participation of Sabine Weick from the Climate Protection Department of Stuttgart Municipality, who presented to young people the local policies on climate change adaptation, environmentally friendly nutrition, and support for sustainability projects.
Concrete political proposals also emerged from the meetings: expanding separate waste collection in neighborhoods, supporting youth environmental initiatives through micro-grants, promoting circular economy practices (repair cafés, sharing, reuse), and introducing sustainability education programs in schools and youth centers.
Italy – Bitonto
Our Italian partners – the 00Was7e agents from Bitonto – officially presented a proposal to create a Reuse Center, inspired by the Belgian model Kringwinkel, which they visited in Brussels in November 2024. This structure will combine environmental protection, social inclusion, and circular economy.

Conclusion – End of the Project, Beginning of the Mission
With the German stage, the project completed the cycle of the three final events, each with its own style:
-
Bitonto (Italy) – a community event with more than 80 participants and presentation of the Reuse Center proposal.
-
Varna (Bulgaria) – an institutional approach combined with an eco-festival, submission of a package of concrete proposals to the deputy mayor, and active involvement of citizens.
-
Stuttgart (Germany) – a multiplier event combining dialogue with institutions, youth workshop, and digital tools.
The three different approaches demonstrated the flexibility of Erasmus+ and the richness of intercultural exchange. The overall outcome was a real impact on local communities and policymakers, with participation that fully met the project’s expectations.

In Italy, Mayor Ricci and SANB welcomed the Reuse Center proposal, paving the way for an operational phase in the coming months with dedicated working groups and joint commitment to experimentation.

The mission does not end with the project’s official conclusion in August 2025 – on the contrary, it continues through the implementation of the young people’s proposals and new collaborations between organizations and institutions.
Our Legacy in Varna
We, Association FOR YOU, leave behind not only experience but also concrete ideas and documents. In Varna, we submitted to the mayor a package of proposals: expanding the number of containers for separate collection, introducing recycling machines with incentives, educational programs for schools, and awareness campaigns on Instagram and TikTok. Varna Municipality has already started analyzing the possibilities for implementation.

We also had the opportunity to speak on a radio broadcast about our activities and our proposals to the mayor.

Agent 00Was7e does not end here: anyone who downloads the materials, reads the proposals, and follows their development becomes part of a collective mission – because reducing waste and building a more sustainable community is a task for all of us.
“Agent 00Was7e: Licence to Recycle” is a project co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program.
