Robert Volunteering in Bulgaria

My name is Robert Dani, I come from Kecskemet, Hungary. I decided to take part in an European Voluntary Service project after I graduated from an economic college. Before entering into the financial world I wanted to take part in social matters and get to know other cultures. Now I work as a volunteer in Varna since 2th of July. My project here in Varna is about working with people in disadvantage situation. I will spend my time at workshops, activities, seminars, trainings implementing my own ideas and learning from others.

It is the summer. We are preparing for the workshops starting in September. In the meantime we are getting to know the city. Varna is full of opportunities, interesting people and exiting places. I have already met people from several countries and cultures. The Youth in Action program really brings youngsters together. We are here to get to know each other putting aside any national differences. I spent many hours talking to other EVS volunteers, Erasmus students, people on internships and locals. I have also met the youngsters with disabilities, I find their company nice and cheerful. These meetings bring new perspectives, tolerance and joy into our lives.
