Some Moments From Our Presentation About Erasmus + and EVS Activities at Vasil Levski School

We think that it is very important to spread the news about the benefits of volunteering. We want to give information about other Erasmus + activities for youth as well. So we often make informative presentations for young people in schools. This week the volunteers Laura, Daria, Miranda and Saskia and 2 coordinators from Association „FOR YOU“ and „Varna European Youth Capital 2017“ office had presentations in Professional High School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy „Vasil Levski“ in Varna. Volunteers presented for young people the European Voluntary Service and Youth Exchanges possibilities. The presentations were held for 10 classes.

During the presentations, the volunteers introduced themselves. They explained who they are, where they are from, and what they are  doing here. Also, they presented their life experience and the reasons why did they decide to come here in Varna. They focused on the fact that volunteering and youth exchanges change life and attitude of young people. They also underlined the fact that it encourages them to reach their goals and to become stronger persons. Besides, volunteering in another country is a great way to experience different cultures and make new friends. Whilst it also helps others and to learn new skills that will be helpful in later life.

Also, volunteers prepared a detailed scheme about the European Voluntary Programme and the procedure of application for this service, so young students were informed about the process during the class.

Of course, students had questions for volunteers and some of them showed a really big interest in this programme. We hope, that this information will help them to make a decision and will encourage them to go abroad for a life-changing EVS experience.
