The international volunteering project of Association “FOR YOU” successfully concludes
Association “FOR YOU” has successfully completed its international volunteering project under the European Solidarity Corps, project № 2024-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000227240. The initiative lasted nearly a year and a half and brought together young volunteers from Morocco, Egypt, Ukraine, Turkey, Portugal, Russia, and Bulgaria. The project provided a unique opportunity to participate in volunteering activities, promote social inclusion, and encourage intercultural exchange.
The volunteers actively took part in the initiatives of Association “FOR YOU” and had the opportunity to experience Bulgarian culture, traditional Bulgarian cuisine, and the Bulgarian language. They participated in events such as “Shtak Tuk-Tam: Adapt Yourself!”, a mini festival of adapted sports for people with disabilities presented to the citizens of Varna, as well as “Taste&Share”, where volunteers introduced their national food and culture to the local community. In addition, they engaged in numerous other initiatives promoting volunteering, intercultural dialogue, and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.
The project had a real and positive impact on the community in Varna. Volunteers supported initiatives aimed at reducing social barriers and creating a more inclusive and accessible environment for all. The international dimension of the project made it even more meaningful, turning Varna into a platform for cultural exchange and social solidarity.
For the participants, the project was an opportunity for both personal and professional growth. They gained valuable practical experience, developed communication and organizational skills, improved their language competencies, and expanded their professional perspectives. Many volunteers built lasting international connections and gained unique experiences that will leave a long-term impact on their future.
Although project № 2024-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000227240 has come to an end, Association “FOR YOU” continues to actively pursue its mission. New initiatives under the European Solidarity Corps will provide further opportunities for young people to participate in volunteering projects in Varna and become part of the organization’s international network.
