Halloween Party 2013

Last thursday, the volunteers of Association For You, SOS – Families in Risk, PowerJump and Agency of social development – Vision had prepared a Halloween party with the youngsters with disabilities and people in disadvantaged situations. Victims of domestic violence, human trafficking and handicapped persons participated and experienced a cheerful evening. In our previous workshops we had already painted jars, made paper work pumpkins, bats and we also designed costumes.

So in the afternoon, a decoration team entered the Vision Hall to arrange our stuff there for a creepy atmosphere. On a big table there were loads of sweets, salty sticks and some filled cups waiting for our guests. At around 6 o’clock the party started with music, happy people with creative masks and make up. After that it was time for a game: two teams had to put somebody into toilet paper to make him look like a mummy. The two guys who weared the paper costume got a present for their willingness. Right afterwards everybody served himself, ate, drank, danced and enjoyed. Then, the final event of the party was the contest for the best costume.

Dyliana, in a black dress and a long dark coat, had really made an effort to look like a scary witch. And even her laughter fit with her role. Thus, she received a present which she shared with all the other witches from the Halloween party.

Coming to a conclusion, it was an extraordinary evening with lots of pleasure for the guests and for the participants of the European Voluntary Service as well. We thank everybody who supported us in realizing it.
