Net the NEETs – youth workers from all over Europe shared their experience in the Czech Republic

Net the NEETs  – Youth workers from Europe gathered together in the Czech Republic for a contact-making seminar to generate new ideas and project supporting NEETs youth

The aim:

The aim of the seminar was to create an environment for communication and partnership building between youth workers and youth NGOs across Europe. Each of the participants had experience in Erasmus + projects and/or work with NEETs and other disadvantaged youth.

The participants:

The president of Association FOR YOU, Antonina Atanasova was invited to take part in the mobility by the coordinators of the project- Association BRNO FOR YOU from the Czech Republic. Her main task was to exchange experience and expertise with other NGOs from Europe with common values and target groups. Additionally, there were conditions for making new contacts and future collaboration in the field of youth.

The other participants were representatives of NGOs and youth workers from Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Estonia, Germany, Turkey, and Serbia.

The daily schedule:

The schedule was rich with practical tasks, real case studies, idea generation and brainstorming on future projects, good practice sharing, etc.  The hosts have organized also meetings with local organizations from Brno, that support youth in disadvantaged situations at risk of dropping out of school. The local youth workers shared their experiences. Last but not least, the coordinators took care of a nice cultural program across the city of Brno.

Within the schedule, there was a special session for the creation of visual materials that provoke the interest of the youth to get involved in Erasmus + youth mobilities:

As a result of the contact-making seminar, there were plenty of new partnerships built and we all hope that in 2023 the new ideas will come to life.
